Events Team

Carefully selected. Clearly prepared. Ready for the floor.

Great activations ultimately rely on great people. We carefully select, train and support people who can think on their feet, care about the guest experience and focus on improving as the event unfolds. From senior oversight to team leads, daily debriefs and role rotations, our staffing approach is built to deliver smooth operations and positive user journeys.

Every interaction matters

Your activation team is often the first point of contact between the audience and the brand. We choose people who bring warmth, confidence and care to each moment, keeping the experience moving and making every guest feel looked after.

Our Standard
Industry Standard
Why it matters
Selection
We select for attitude, confidence and care, not just availability.
Staff are often booked to fill shifts and meet headcount.
The right people create a stronger first impression and a more natural guest experience.
Preparation
Teams are prepared around the activation, the audience and the full guest journey.
Training is often limited to a short brief before the event.
Staff understand what is happening, where friction may appear and how to keep people moving.
Leadership
Senior leads stay close to the floor, guiding the team and adjusting the flow in real time.
Issues are usually handled as they appear.
Small problems can be spotted early, before they become visible to guests or clients.
Improvement
We review what worked, what got in the way and how the next day can run better.
The same setup often runs across every event day.
Each day becomes sharper, smoother and easier for the team and audience.

Culture and Training

Integration begins with expert staff

Every activation begins with the people who created it. The same team responsible for designing the software, engineering the hardware and refining the customer journey remains involved throughout deployment.  Our senior staff work alongside technicians and event crews to ensure every system performs exactly as intended.

This approach creates consistency from concept through to delivery, allowing technical decisions to be made quickly, challenges to be resolved before they affect guests, and every activation to benefit from the knowledge of the people who know it best.

Our selection process is rigorous and thorough

We've built a recruitment process that prioritises quality over convenience. By advertising across multiple recruitment platforms, we attract a larger and more diverse pool of applicants, allowing us to remain highly selective. Candidates are assessed on the qualities that matter most in a live environment.

Through structured shortlisting, video interviews and, where appropriate, personality assessments, we identify people who demonstrate initiative, problem-solving ability, teamwork and outstanding customer service.

The guest experience is at the centre of every activation, so it's important that we recruit people who naturally create positive interactions, remain calm under pressure and represent both SNAP LAB and our clients with professionalism from start to finish.

Hand-picked Team Leads drive your activation

We identify leadership potential early, mentoring team members who consistently demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, professionalism and a genuine commitment to customer experience.

Our Team Leads are responsible for maintaining the high standards our clients expect. They coordinate staff, support the team, oversee operations and make real-time decisions to keep activations running smoothly. By placing people where they'll perform at their best and encouraging versatility through role rotation, we create confident, adaptable teams that remain energised throughout the day.

Most importantly, our leaders reinforce the importance of the guest journey from beginning to end. Every interaction is an opportunity to create a memorable experience, and our Team Leads ensure that philosophy is reflected across the entire team.

Pre-event is our dress rehearsal

Every activation is thoroughly prepared before arriving on-site. Our team completes structured online training, practical assessments and real-world scenario exercises, with the goal of ensuring everyone understands not just what they're doing, but why they're doing it.

Training is designed to build a strong understanding of the activation, covering technical workflows, operational processes, client objectives and brand messaging. We encourage every team member to understand the purpose behind the experience, the terminology our clients use and the key messages they want guests to remember.

By investing heavily in preparation before event day, we aim to give every team member the knowledge and confidence to represent both SNAP LAB and our clients professionally. While every live event is different, we believe thorough preparation provides the strongest foundation for delivering a seamless guest experience.

We take each day as it comes, and improve it

We believe the first day of an activation is the beginning of the learning process, not the finish line. While preparation and training are essential, nothing replicates the behaviour of thousands of guests interacting with a live experience.

For multi-day activations, we treat each day as an opportunity to optimise performance. Every evening, our team reviews what worked well, what created friction and where small changes could deliver better results. This might involve improving guest flow, refining queue management, repositioning signage or adjusting operational processes to increase throughput and enhance the customer journey.

These refinements are guided by the same objectives our clients are measured against - guest numbers, engagement, participation, throughput, queue times and overall experience. We continually look for ways to improve these outcomes, keeping our clients informed so each day builds on the success of the last.

Post event, we take you through our outcome summary

The conclusion of an activation is the beginning of the next conversation. Once the event has finished, we compile the data, observations and learnings gathered throughout delivery into a clear post-event summary, helping clients understand both performance and outcomes.

Where possible, we provide reporting on key metrics such as guest numbers, participation, engagement, operational performance, alongside customer feedback and observations from our team. More importantly, we share the insights behind the numbers - what worked, what we learned and where future activations can be refined.

By combining measurable results with practical recommendations, we help our clients demonstrate success internally while building stronger, more effective activations for the future.
